Campbell maintains an early arrival and late stay program for students who are currently enrolled in an academic day program. The program is optional, and requires a separate contract. Parents may use the Flexcare program on an occasional basis by phoning ahead to reserve a place. Details regarding the fees for Flexcare may be found on the tuition page.
Early arrival begins at 6:45 a.m. for Primary and Elementary students. The Toddler early arrival begins at 7:30 a.m. Parents sign in when they arrive with their children. Students are escorted to their classrooms between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m.
Time before school begins is usually spent on the playground if the weather permits outdoor play. Indoor activities compatible with the Montessori classroom are available during inclement weather.
After school programming begins at 3:30 p.m. and has an optional dismissal time of 5:00 or 6:00. Toddler and primary students are offered a light snack at the beginning of the session. Elementary students bring a snack if they would like to have one during this time.
Whenever the weather permigts, students play outside between 3:45 and 5:00 p.m. Outdoor activities available during this time include exploration and upkeep of the natural environment, such as raking, digging, planting, gardening, and building with natural materials. Play equipment is available for swinging, sliding, cargo net climbing, and pretend play of all kinds.
Puzzles, various building toys, crafts and supplies for art work are part of the indoor Flexcare environment. The 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. time slot is usually spent inside during the winter months, regardless of the weather.
